The Bernard van Leer Foundation is a Dutch foundation based in The Hague, The Netherlands. Its mission is to improve opportunities for young children growing up in circumstances of social and economic disadvantage.
Each year the Bernard van Leer Foundation publishes its Annual Report in both digital and print formats and we were delighted to be asked to lead on the design of the 2016 edition.
Our approach was to create a distinctive new design, but one which fit within the existing brand identity and retained a clear consistency with previous years. This was achieved through a series of subtle but effective changes including the introduction of more impactful full-bleed imagery and the addition of engaging graphical elements to aid reader comprehension.
We also handled production partnering with a trusted independent local supplier to create a beautiful final booklet printed on FSC Certified and 100% recycled paper stock.
“Wolf&Player provide a great the mix of project management skills, professionalism, creativity and integrity. From beginning to end, the project was smooth, and even when changes in direction occurred, they adapted with flexibility and often came back with even better solutions and ideas. We are delighted with the result and would not hesitate to work with them again!”
