SustainAbility is a global think tank and consultancy that inspires and enables business to lead the way to a sustainable economy.
Each quarter it publishes Radar, a quarterly magazine dedicated to shedding light on sustainability challenges and solutions. Each issue features a mix of the best thinking from SustainAbility’s research and blog, insights from their clients and extended network, trends analysis and more.
As long time collaborators with SustainAbility we’re always looking for ways to increase the reach and engagement of their communications, of which Radar Magazine is a key component. The outcome of this has seen radar shift from a printed periodical to an Apple Newsstand app to now a desktop and mobile microsite.
We started by updating the brand identity, creating a logo and typographical system better suited for screen viewing.
Next we explored navigation and layout options, researching and benchmarking existing digital magazines and running usability tests to ensure the best possible screen reading experience.
Our intention was to create a uniquely long-form experience of the SustainAbility brand, distinct form the main website and a pleasure to engage with whether viewed on desktop, tablet or mobile.
